the wagamama nz noodle eating competition has come to an end and the champions have taken their place in wagamama history and captured our hearts....
congratulations to andrew strong - the ultimate wagamama new zealand noodle eater. andrew consumed 1.434 kgs of noodles in 8 minutes wearing a very favourable dinner suit! style & grace with a champion attitude, andrew was amazing and will be enjoying a trip for 2 to sydney

xan edwards, wagamama metropolis' champion tore through 1.26 kgs of noodles in 8 minutes earning him a very solid 2nd place and $500-00 worth of wagamama vouchers!
robert ballinger-judd of wellington stole 3rd place with a very impressive 1.046 kg of noodles in 8 minutes taking away $250-00 worth of wagamama voucher love

warren young came in to annihilate 4th place with a consumption level of 990 grams! bam! nice!

and finally 5th place went to christchurch’s finest – sam schout – who nailed 908 grams in 8 minutes. both dudes took a very nice wagamama cook book with them and the pride of participating in one of wagamama new zealand’s finest events this year!

dj adam cut up the beats and kept it all classy like jarvis, and our guest celebrity leand macadaan made all the announcements a truly pleassureable experience with his awesome presence!

strangely enough, a terrifically 1960’s austin powers flash mob showed up to wow us with the dancing skills – it was a spectacular spectacle of super swinging moves to smokin' 60's grooves
